A MEHDA community development initiative opened in 2006

MEHDA has created a committed in-door kitchen with propane cooking surface and refrigeration to serve the increasing number of tourists who come to the area for bird watching and cultural tourism. Five village women are trained to cook for guests, successfully combining traditional food preparation methods with the best of hygiene practices for safe and delicious meals created from the best of local markets and gardens.
